I understand and agree that if I am selected to participate in Study Space IX, I will pay the program fee of $1300. A deposit of $600 is due at the time of application and is refundable until March 7, 2016. The balance of the program fee ($700) is due by April 18, 2016 and is nonrefundable. The program fee includes scheduled group meals, speaker honoraria, and field visits. Hotel, airline tickets, and airport ground transportation must be purchased separately. A block of hotel rooms will be reserved for Sunday through Thursday nights and is estimated to be $550 including breakfast each day; the hotel rate is subject to fluctuation based on exchange rates. I understand and agree that I am responsible for booking my hotel room and paying the hotel directly. Passports and visas will be the responsibility of the individual participant.

I understand and agree that I will be required to: (1) submit my name exactly as it appears on my passport for an official letter of invitation from the University of Cape Town, to be used for the visa application process; (2) read the study materials provided in advance of the trip; (3) attend all lectures; (4) attend all site visits; (5) attend all group discussions; and, (6) upon my return, I will write for publication a piece of original scholarship incorporating material gathered during my Study Space week.

Furthermore, I hereby grant permission to the Center for the Comparative Study of Metropolitan Growth at Georgia State University College of Law to publish my effort in any form whatsoever, provided that my authorship is acknowledged.
