Wellness Wednesday on Feb. 28 in Room 342: For most of your life, you are the person with the primary responsibility for taking care of yourself. Sometimes your own self-care can be abandoned when life’s pressures seem overwhelming. Depression and anxiety are among the most common mental health challenges that lawyers face. This week’s speaker shares her experiences as a lawyer with these challenges and explores how you can address them proactively and effectively with appropriate resources and specific actions. Lunch provided. All students are welcome!
Take Twenty Tuesday: A Mindful Pause for Getting and Staying Balanced: Professor Charity Scott offers every Tuesday at noon and 5:15 p.m. an informal weekly session consisting of a 10-minute guided mindfulness meditation followed by a 10-minute debrief/discussion (on any topic students wish related to wellness or mindfulness). It’s an informal opportunity to de-stress and recharge in 20 minutes. No experience with mindfulness is necessary: everyone is welcome to attend these drop-in sessions as schedules permit. Tuesdays at noon in Room 538 and at 5:15 p.m. in Room 345.
