June 10, 2008 - General, Updates and Upgrades

The College of Law was recently awarded Student Technology Fee funding for four projects totaling $233,125.00.

Award money will be made available at the end of the summer and these projects will be implemented over the course of the Fall 2008 semester. They include:

  • Instructional Technology Podium Enhancements
  • Classroom Response and Polling System
  • LexisNexis Congressional Research Digital Collection
  • LexisNexis Congressional Hearings Digital Collection

Each semester students pay a tech fee where the revenues are in turn used for the direct benefit of students to assist in meeting the educational objectives of their academic programs. Each year organizations submit proposals for tech fee funding and the Student Technology Fee subcommittee evaluates those proposals based on guidelines supplied by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. The subcommittee is comprised of both students and faculty. Prof Ellen Taylor and 2L Deana Spencer represented the College of Law on the subcommittee. We would especially like to thank them for their work on the subcommittee.

These awards continue a history of great success in writing and winning funding through the tech fee process. For more information about the Student Technology Fee projects implemented at the College of Law, visit theĀ Technology Fee page.
