Once More a Best Value

ATLANTA – The Georgia State University College of Law is among the nation's top 10 "Best Value Law Schools," according to the October issue of The National Jurist.
The college, which has made the top 10 list for the past seven years, continues to be the No. 1 Best Value law school in Georgia. It ranked no. 8 among Best Value schools in the country this year.
Since the rankings began, the college has made the grade for graduating students with lower debt of about $68,300, well under the ceiling of $105,000 for a public institution to be included in the ranking.
"Our graduates continue to get a great value for the quality of education we provide," said Georgia State Law Dean Steven J. Kaminshine. "The practical experiences we provide our students enable them to contribute from day one."
For the rankings, the magazine looked at tuition, employment success, cost of living expenses, bar passage rates and debt accumulation. The study gave employment success the highest weight at 35 percent and used the American Bar Association's employment data.
"(The Top 10 Best Value law schools) may not be high-glitz law schools in the nation's largest cities, but they do something else: get graduates jobs and don't saddle them with big debt," National Jurist says in its article.
