GSU Law named no. 6 most popular

Georgia State University's College of Law has earned a spot on the list of the 10 most popular law schools from the U.S. News and World Report. Based on its admissions yield rate – the percentage of accepted students that ultimately enroll at a school – GSU Law ranked No. 6 most popular in the nation.

"Credit for this belongs to Dr. Cheryl George and our admissions team, who work hard to reach out to our applicants after we have admitted them," said College of Law Dean Steven Kaminshine.

GSU Law had a yield rate of 52.7 percent for the 2011-2012 school year. This marked an increase of 9.1 percent over the previous year, propelling the school into the top ten for the first time. The average yield among 188 ranked law schools in 2011-2012 was 28 percent. According to school-reported data, for the 2011-2012 admissions cycle, law schools accepted and enrolled fewer students, in total, than the year before.
