A graduating class of 190 law students participated in the Georgia State University College of Law 2011 Commencement

ATLANTA -- With hundreds of friends and family members on hand to to celebrate their accomplishments, a graduating class of 190 law students participated in Georgia State University College of Law's 2011 Commencement and Hooding Ceremony Friday, May 13, at the GSU Sports Arena.

All law students graduating in Summer 2010, Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 were eligible to participate in the ceremony. Members of the College of Law hooding team included Professors Kelly Cahill Timmons, Tanya Washington, Corneill Stephens and Jack Williams.

College of Law Dean Steven J. Kaminshine welcomed the graduating class and their guests, and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Dr. Risa Palm extended greetings from the university. United States Senator Johnny Isakson delivered the keynote address. Gino Emanuels, outgoing president of the Student Bar Association, also spoke to his fellow class members.

Members of the graduating class gathered afterwards for a reception in the GSU Student Center with friends, family, members of the administration, faculty and staff.
