ATLANTA -- Georgia State University College of Law will hold its 2011 Commencement & Hooding Ceremony this Friday, May 13, at 4:30 p.m., in the GSU Sports Arena.

United States Senator Johnny Isakson will be the commencement speaker. The ceremony itself is expected to last approximately 90 minutes. A reception with light hors d'oeuvres and beverages will immediately follow the ceremony in the GSU Student Center.

All participants must report with your academic regalia to rooms 100 and 170 of the College of Law for marshalling at 3:15 p.m. Tricia Rackliffe, College of Law Registrar, will meet you and point out your position in the processional. After receiving these instructions, you will proceed to the Sports Arena for the official processional.

During the hooding portion of the ceremony, when your name is announced, you should proceed to the hooding station where selected members of the faculty will affix an academic hood to your regalia.

Since the ceremony is scheduled in the Sports Arena, no tickets are required for admission and there are no reserved seats.
