Message received for posting: September 14, 2001 at 11:37 AM Message from Carl V. Patton - President Georgia State University
Georgia State University continues the process of grieving and coping along with the rest of the nation. We recognize that members of our community will find their own individual process to come to terms with this national tragedy. The University has and will continue to provide opportunities for members of the campus community to express their thoughts and feelings. The campus events are listed below.
Today, the President of the United States has declared September 14, 2001 a national day of prayer and remembrance. I encourage each of you to acknowledge this with a moment of silence for the victims and the nation at 12 noon.
I want to express my appreciation to members of our community for the respectful manner in which they have proceeded with their daily activities and the way we have come together to provide support for one another at this time of great turmoil.
Our thoughts and prayers remain with the many victims and their loved ones.
Carl V. Patton
President
