College of Law Employee Wins Sparks Award

The College of Law at Georgia State University is pleased to announce that Ms. Valencia Lewis, has been named one of the newest recipients of the Sparks Award.
Valencia was selected from a rather competitive pool of nominees in the staff category. To be chosen for this honor, a staff member must demonstrate that he or she is an individual who embodies not only the literal meaning of the award, "an unsung hero (who goes) the extra mile with good humor and perseverance," but be an individual who represents the true spirit of the award, much like its namesake, Dr. Sparks.
Past honorees from the College of Law include, Dr. Cheryl Jackson (Director of Admissions) and Professor James Bross.
The award will be presented on Thursday, May 2nd, 2002 at 10:00 AM in the New Student Center Ballroom. All students, faculty and staff are invited to please join the nominators and, of course, the recipients for this wonderful occasion! A light refreshment reception will be held afterwards.
