GSU College of Law Ranked as a Best School for the Money
September 18, 2003
The College of Law at Georgia State University has been ranked as one of the top ten public law schools in the nation as a "Best School for the Money," by National Jurist magazine. The ranking is based on tuition rates, bar pass rates, the employment rate of graduates, the median grant as a percentage of tuition, the number of clinical slots available relative to total enrollment, and the faculty/student ratio. Tuition and the bar passage rate receive more weight.
Janice C. Griffith, Dean of the College of Law extended her congratulations "to all of you who have worked so hard over many years to put the college in a position where it is earning more and more recognition for its many accomplishments," after receiving notice of the ranking.
The National Jurist magazine will run a feature article of the top ten law schools in its February issue and its sister publication, the PreLaw Insider, will run a similar story in its Winter edition.
