Jed Morton
He's a decorated former Air Force fighter pilot who now flies full time commercially. But Jed Morton is also a part-time student at the College of Law in his fourth year. And his legal acumen has recently been recognized with the award of the 2006 Attorneys' Title Guaranty Scholarship.
The scholarship is presented annually for high academic achievement in all real estate-related courses and a commitment to the highest standards in real estate practice, the area Morton is interested in pursuing upon graduation.
A graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Morton served as an F-16 fighter pilot from 1989-97. He is a veteran of more than 60 combat missions around the world including service in Operations Desert Storm and Southern Watch. Morton has been a pilot for Delta Air Lines since 1997, and is a licensed real estate agent. He received the 2006 Litigation Honors Award and serves as an extern for Fulton County Superior Court Judge John J. Goger this fall. In addition, he is the editor and publisher of a legal research Web site on Georgia condominium and homeowner association law, and owns two real estate-related companies.
“We congratulate Jed as the recipient of this year's Attorneys' Title Guaranty Scholarship,” said Dean Steven Kaminshine. “He is an outstanding example of student commitment to academic excellence and achievement, and an asset to our part-time program here at the College of Law.”
