SITE DESCRIPTION
Students work for Judge Gobeil under the direct supervision of her staff attorneys. Externship includes legal research and writing, participation in case analysis discussions, and the opportunity to observe oral argument. Assignment of projects to externs is dependent upon research, analysis and writing skills.
STUDENT QUALIFICATIONS
Prerequisites:
- Strong research, analysis and writing skills, including proficiency in Westlaw and/or Lexis legal research platforms.
- Initiative and strong work ethic.
- Positive and professional attitude.
Preferences:
- Third-year students but second-year students may also apply.
- Significant work experience is a plus.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
A writing sample must be provided at the time of interview.
